ABCommunication Engineers Visit the HPE Geneva Center of Competence

The ABCommunication engineering team visited the HPE Geneva Center of Competence, one of Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s leading European innovation hubs, where the latest solutions in artificial intelligence, hybrid cloud, networking, and modern data center infrastructure are showcased.

The visit included technical presentations, live solution demonstrations, a guided tour of the data center, an exploration of the IoT laboratory, and discussions of real-world use cases with HPE experts.

One of the highlights of the program was HPE Private Cloud AI. Our engineers explored the platform’s architecture, saw the hardware that powers the solution, and experienced a live demonstration, gaining valuable insights into building private AI infrastructure for enterprise environments.

Another key session focused on HPE Morpheus, a modern platform for infrastructure automation, orchestration, and hybrid cloud management. The presentation covered practical deployment scenarios as well as the ongoing evolution of the platform’s capabilities.

The team also explored the latest developments in HPE’s storage portfolio, learning about modern approaches to building high-performance, scalable, and resilient data infrastructure.

A particularly valuable part of the visit was the tour of HPE’s data centers, which power the HPE Demo Portal and are used to conduct testing and Proof of Concept (PoC) projects for customers worldwide. The visit provided a closer look at the technologies and operational practices behind highly available and energy-efficient data center environments.

Another impressive demonstration featured the HPE Modular Data Center—a mobile data center designed for rapid deployment wherever reliable computing capacity is required while maintaining enterprise-grade performance and availability.

The visit also highlighted HPE’s commitment to sustainability. The competence center and its data center have been designed to maximize the reuse of the heat generated by the IT equipment. This recovered energy is used to heat nearby buildings during colder months and even supports food preparation in a neighboring cafeteria. It is an excellent example of how modern data centers can combine high performance with environmentally responsible design.
